The pandemic is laying bare the cracks in our housing system.

The pandemic is laying bare the cracks in our housing system.

You can’t stay at home if you don’t have one.

The numbers on the streets and sleeping rough are surging. Young people increasingly can’t imagine a pathway into the housing market, and more and more live under rental stress.

The waiting lists for social housing continue to grow.

Now, the pandemic has stripped many casual and insecure workers of their pay.

We’re facing a crisis.

There’s been good news from Dan Andrews, with temporary bans on evictions and relief for rent. But there’s more to do, and we need a nationally coordinated plan from the Federal Government.

If we want to build a fairer Australia, we need to build housing.

And building will be vital to kick-starting our economy.

Show your support, and sign my petition calling for a national plan to tackle the affordable housing crisis.
