Stay well Macnamara

Facing the challenge of Coronavirus

Things are moving fast at the moment.

These are unprecedented times but there is lots we already know.

We know that most people will only experience mild symptoms.

We also know simple, good hygiene is really powerful in protecting ourselves.

And we know that slowing the rate of this virus is something we all must help with.

So far in Macnamara, we have had a number of important measures taken to slow the virus down.

The Grand Prix was cancelled, Schools have been temporarily closed and many local events have been postponed.

Soon workplaces, schools and other places where people congregate may well also close temporarily.

It’s going to be challenging but it’s also something we’ll all have to work together on.

To help people, we’ve added a information on my website for local residents in Macnamara about managing the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is by no means a definitive guide, but merely some additional information specifically related to our local area.

Although this situation is serious, these early days are important in slowing down the virus.

We are a smart, resilient and caring community.

This virus is challenging but I’m confident we will support each-other and do what’s needed to support our fantastic health system over the next few months.
