Dame Jean Macnamara was born 121 years ago today.

She was a pioneer in treating and helping kids with Polio.

When the world was going through a health pandemic, Dame Jean Macnamara brought kindness and care.

She showed the world that caring for people, especially those less fortunate, was the way through.

Now more than ever, we need heroes like Dame Jean Macnamara.

I’m proud to represent the electorate named after her and I’m glad Google is honouring her as well.

What an amazing woman. I had never heard of her until now. Very relevant to today's events.

Thank you for sharing the kindness person story. I never heard about her before. Happy 121st Birthday 🎂

this excellent book from Monash University Publishing gives an insight into the schism in polio treatments between Dr Macnamara and Sister Elizabeth Kennedy publishing.monash.edu/books/dmd-9781922235848.html

Kim Duong have you seen this?

This pandemic has had some surprising consequences.

Over the past few weeks, a Liberal Government has been listening to and working with trade unions to deliver a massive Government package to keep workers in their jobs.

It’s a long way from their past rhetoric towards the labour movement.

But it’s definitely good for our country.

And while this wage subsidy isn’t perfect - it’s a massive step forward that will really help workers.

And Labor will also do something we don’t often do - we’ll congratulate them on heeding the call, and work constructively to get it passed quickly.

If you need any advice or assistance, call my office on 03 9534 8126.

All OK. BUT And how are you or your party in any position to question other stuff if parliament is closed. Are we being ruled by executive order!?

Well said and well done to all working on the stimulus package.

BREAKING: (for any assistance, call 9534 8126)

There’s a moratorium on evictions for six months.

Social gatherings are now capped at 2 people out of home.

The curve is looking good so far, but we need to keep working to bend it together!

The message is still the same - stay home and let’s save lives.

If I gave my tenant notice a month ago, will we have issues evicting him?

Just like you on the defensive end of the court back in the the day.

It's good news, but we also need rent holidays so that at the end of the six months, those who've lost their jobs aren't sent a bill for six months worth of rent. Plus a freeze on all rent increases. An eviction moratorium on it's own just kicks the pain down the road.

I’m so glad that people will be able to stay in their homes safely.

There needs to be a link to the government site when you post a statement like this.

This is a relief, i have had a 90% drop in work over the past 2 weeks.

Why isn't Labor extracting the real advice from our scientists rather than what's filtered down by the PM?

Stay well, stay safe, stay home.

‘Evictions will be put on hold for 6 months by the states and territories. Landlords and renters are encouraged to talk about short term agreements. More information to come this week.’ NO details WHATSOEVER! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
